Commissioned by DP World for the area of Mina Rashid in Dubai. The request was to submit a master-plan to develop the surrounding area of the existing cruise terminal. The new plans include: two hotels, residential buildings, retail and office areas, a new shopping mall, the 'Kasbah' heritage village and a new marina for private yachts. Each quarter of the project was unique in scope and character and carefully designed to allow easy interaction between each area with a focus on sustainable characteristics. The overall scheme was designed to be self-sufficient, integrating all the required services and infrastructure within the design. The master-plan followed the principles of the LEED N+D certification the aim being to achieve a LEED Gold or Platinum rating.
